Governor Katie Hobbs selected Arizona Corporation Commissioner Anna Tovar to represent her home state among a coalition of 11 western states and two western Canadian provinces. Appointees serve to enhance our regional economy and well-being through coordinated interconnection-wide transmission planning and engagement with regional resource adequacy programs.
“We are delighted to share the news of this appointment,” said Governor Hobbs. “Commissioner Tovar’s expertise integrating renewable energy resources and vast experience in the areas of leadership and public policy will benefit every Arizonan.”
As a voting member, Commissioner Tovar will be a decision-maker working to bring cost savings and reliability benefits to ratepayers by finding ways to leverage cleaner resources on the grid.
