Phoenix, Ariz. –  The Arizona Corporation Commission is helping to make it easier and faster for entrepreneurs register their new business by adding two new public kiosks in the lobby of the Corporations Division.  Filing articles of incorporation or articles of organization is one of the first steps in launching a new business, this establishes the Corporation or Limited Liability Company (LLC) as a legal entity and secures the business name.  These filings can be completed online, and now for those who prefer the ACC’s help in this process, the ACC now has an online filing center with two stations that are free for the public to use. “We are pleased to be able to offer online filing services to our onsite customers. This is a first step in reducing paper consumption and therefore our environmental footprint, in addition to making it quicker for customers to start or continue their entrepreneurship!” said Tanya Gibson, Director of the ACC Corporations Division.

“The new kiosks allow us to modernize our processes and elevate our level of customer service as users will have the added convenience of receiving staff assistance as they complete their online filings," said Joey Ordonez, Assistant Director of the ACC Corporations Division.  “Filing online takes a matter of minutes and many of our online filings are automatically approved, such as articles of organization, statements of change, and annual reports. Whereas with paper filings, it may take up to 15 days to get processed."

The ACC processed nearly 590,00 filings in the last fiscal year.  Currently there are more than 1.3 million active LLCs and more than 138,000 active corporations operating in Arizona.  Arizona is consistently ranked among the top states to start a new business.  The ACC is proud to help our state’s economy continue to grow and thrive.
