Phoenix, Ariz. — Arizona Corporation Commissioner Nick Myers is hosting with Representative Selina Bliss (LD-1) a Wildfire Mitigation Town Hall to engage the community in a discussion on this critical issue on Thursday, April 4, 2024, in Prescott Valley, Arizona.
“Given recent wildfires in Hawaii and Texas, and new utility wildfire mitigation techniques that more directly impact customers, it is important to proactively engage with the public and discuss these new efforts,” commented Commissioner Myers, “and I would like to thank Representatives Selina Bliss and Quang Nguyen, and Senator Ken Bennett from Legislative District 1 for welcoming us to their district to have this important discussion.”
“Effective wildfire mitigation into the future will require continued and improved collaboration among the various stakeholders,” said Commissioner Myers, “that is why I’m eager to participate in this timely discussion with various utilities, governmental entities, and members of the public on the ongoing efforts to prevent and mitigate wildfires across our state.”
