Historical ACC Records from the Early 1900’s are Now Available Online

Phoenix, Ariz. -  The Arizona Corporation Commission is pleased to announce that historical records dating back to 1918 have now been digitized and are available for the public to view online.  The digitization of microfilm was made possible, in part, with the help of a $132,355 grant from the National Archives’ National Historical Publications & Records Commission.

The historical filings can be accessed through the ACC’s eDocket at https://edocket.azcc.gov/ and people can now view documents, such as Opinions and Orders, that were filed with the Commission in the early 1900’s - some documents are over 100 years old.  You can search for the historical records using the Decision number, as well as by the Company name and date range.  Some documents are too fragile to be digitized and added to the database, however, they may still be available for public viewing.  Those interested in researching historical Orders and Opinions can contact Docket Control for additional assistance, at kmecca@azcc.gov.

Since the modernization project began in late 2023, Commission Staff members have processed more than 81,000 records.  The digital images are then transferred into eDocket and manually added to the ACC’s current online database.  The Arizona Corporation Commission was established in 1912 by the State Constitution.  Today, the ACC’s mission is to power Arizona’s future by ensuring safe, reliable, and affordable utility services; growing Arizona’s economy as we help local entrepreneurs achieve their dream of starting a business; modernizing an efficient, effective, and responsive government agency; and protecting Arizona citizens by enforcing an ethical securities marketplace.
