Phoenix, Ariz. – The Arizona Corporation Commission released its Annual Report for fiscal year 2025-26, highlighting the agency’s activities and accomplishments for the past year.

“The Commission has continued strengthening Arizona’s grid, championing regulatory stability and efficiency, and eliminating subsidies and cost shifts,” stated Chairman Nick Myers. “This past year’s achievements were made possible by our dedicated staff and by my fellow commissioners’ commitment to ensuring safe, reliable, and affordable utility services for Arizona families, businesses, and communities.”

The report lays out the Commission’s work to vigorously ensure safe, reliable and affordable utility services, ensure the safety of railroad and pipeline systems, grow Arizona’s economy by helping local entrepreneurs start business, and protect citizens by enforcing an ethical securities marketplace.

In FY 2025-26, the ACC’s many achievements include:

• Championing energy stability and reliability: Arizona’s electric utilities met record-high peak demand levels; no rolling blackouts and no major power outages (an event that affects at least 50,000 customers or interrupts an electrical service capacity of 300 megawatts or more) were reported. Additionally, the Commission’s actions in FY 2025/26 have enabled the interconnection of nearly 8,000 MW of new electricity generation, to include the future construction of natural gas, solar, battery energy storage, and wind facilities. 
• Arizona’s electricity prices remained BELOW the national average, per Energy Information Administration data. A recent EIA report showed AZ prices decreased about 1.2% from April 2025-April 2026, while the U.S. national average price increased by about 7%.
• The launch of Arizona Business Center (ABC), a new online business filing portal with enhanced fraud protection, real-time tracking, automation, and instant verification, to the benefit of business owners, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits.
• The Commission is a revenue generating agency and contributes more to the state’s general fund than it receives. In Fiscal year 2026, the Administrative Services Division received and processed approximately $76,446,150 in revenue to the State Treasurer.

The ACC has also continued to prioritize public engagement, looking to include the voices of Arizonans through the Commission’s Open Meetings, public comment meetings, and consumer comment dockets.
