First Commission Workshop on Gas Master Meter Health & Safety Risks

PHOENIX — The Arizona Corporation Commission will host its first workshop on gas master meters on Wednesday January 17, 2018 at 10 a.m. Commissioner Boyd Dunn will lead the workshop which will focus on the health and safety risks associated with gas master meters operated by individuals and entities that are regulated by the Commission. Master meters serve as a mechanism to distribute natural gas into two or more buildings. In Arizona, this type of gas distribution system is commonly used in apartment buildings, mobile home parks, hotels, schools, and office buildings.
