Arizona Corporation Commission to Hold Second Biennial Transmission Assessment Workshop

PHOENIX — The Arizona Corporation Commission will host its second workshop regarding the 10th Biennial Transmission Assessment on Friday, September 28, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its Phoenix office. The Corporation Commission performs a biennial review of ten-year transmission plans filed by companies who are responsible for transmission facilities throughout Arizona. Companies filed ten-year transmission plans in January, and the Corporation Commission held the first of two public workshops in June. These workshops serve to fine-tune the transmission assessment, which determines the adequacy of the existing and planned transmission facilities to meet the present and future energy needs of Arizona. Following this workshop, the Biennial Transmission Assessment will go before Commissioners at a future Open Meeting.
