Arizona Corporation Commission to Host Four Town Hall Meetings to Hear from Coal Impacted Communities

PHOENIX – The Arizona Corporation Commission will be hosting four in-person Town Hall events later this month. The first will be June 21 at 6 p.m. MDT (5 p.m. PT) in Kayenta, AZ. The second will be June 22 at 1 p.m. MDT (12 p.m. PT) at the Hardrock Chapter House on Black Mesa. The third will also be on June 22 at 6 p.m. PT at the Hopi Junior-Senior High School in Keams Canyon, AZ. The fourth will be on June 23 at 6 p.m. MDT (5 p.m. PT) in Tuba City, AZ. The purpose of these Town Hall events is to hear from the community and individuals who have been impacted by past or future power plant closures in the region. Commissioners will be present and want to hear from community members. Masks are required and the Commission is arranging translators. Details about the Town Halls are below:
