Grievance Procedure

The ACC’s ADA grievance procedure is as follows:

  1. Filing a Complaint:

    • Complaints or inquiries must be submitted to the ACC ADA Coordinator in writing within 60 days of the alleged discriminatory act.

    • Your written submissions should include your contact information, the location, date, and a detailed description of the incident.

    • Accommodation Note: Alternative formats are available upon request for individuals requiring assistance.  For an accommodation request, please complete the ACC ADA Coordinator.

  1. Investigation:

    • The designated ADA Coordinator will acknowledge receipt of the complaint (often within 5 to 15 days).

    • The coordinator will then review jurisdiction, investigate the allegations, and may schedule a meeting to gather more information.

  1. Written Decision & Appeal:

    • The investigating coordinator will issue a written decision, generally within 45 to 60 days, and provide it to you in an accessible format.

    • If the decision is unsatisfactory, a formal appeal can be filed with the ACC Office of General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, Mike Dailey, within 15 days of receiving the decision.  Mr. Dailey can be reached at mike.dailey@azcc.gov, and 1200 W. Washington Street, Phoenix, AZ 85007.

Please note that the ACC cannot provide you with legal advice, and we urge you to retain an attorney to assist you with your legal needs.
